In the studio last December was pianist Diedre Irons, recording a recital of some of her favourite repertoire. This included music by Mozart, Schumann, Ravel, Chopin and Gershwin. Deidre Irons was born in Canada and has been resident in this country since 1977. She is a graduate of the Curtis Institute and later taught there. She is now Senior Lecturer in piano at the University of Canterbury as well as a concert performer throughout New Zealand. This is her first recording for the Trust.
This recordings were made in the Ilott Chamber of the Wellington Town Hall, with engineer Keith Warren and producer Murray Khouri.
