The HRL Morrison Music Trust announced today an updated recording and release schedule for the next few months.
Later in September 2002, two new recordings are to be released: Aquarius Music by John Ritchie (MMT2040) featuring the NZSO & NZSOCO, and Diedre Irons Piano Recital (MMT2041). Both CDs will be officially launched in Christchurch in early October.
A further two recordings are scheduled for release before Christmas 2002. One is a "mythological"-themed recital of music for flute and piano the debut recording by Bridget Douglas (flute), accompanied by Rachel Thomson (MMT2039) and the other is a unique collection of Baroque Christmas works, featuring the NZSO conducted by Marc Taddei (MMT2043).
Production work has recently begun on Mere Boynton - Waikohu (MMT2034) which features new and traditional waiata in arrangements by Gareth Farr and Paul Booth.
Upcoming recording projects include soprano Deborah Wai Kapohe performing works for guitar and voice, the NZ National Youth Band, and piano and percussion works by John Psathas.
